A friend of mine at Ivy League college constantly complains about the girls there．
They are either "too silly, too frivolous, too dumb, too argumentative."
One day he announced that he had found the one, the only, perfect woman in the world．
When he broke the news, however, he lacked the joy that should accompany the culmination of such a long search．
"What wrong?"I asked．
"You found the perfect woman, didn't you?"
"Yes,"he admitted,"but she is looking for the perfect man."
미국 동부 명문대에 다니는 친구가 그곳 여학생들에 대해 끊임없이 불평을 늘어놓곤 했다．
그들이 하나같이 "너무 어리석거나, 너무 시시하거나, 너무도 멍청하거나, 너무도 말이 많다거나" 한다는 것이었다．
그러던 그가 어느 날 세상에서 유일하게 완벽한 여자를 찾았다고 했다. 그런데 그토록 오랫동안 찾아 헤매던 여자를 찾았는데도 그에게는 도무지 기뻐하는 기색이 안 보였다.
"무슨 문제라도 있어?" 내가 물었다.
"그래. 완벽한 여자를 찾긴 했는데 그 여자는 완벽한 남자를 찾고 있더라고."
