A father was trying to teach his young son the evils of alcohol.
He put one worm in a glass of water and another worm in a glass of whiskey. The worm in the water lived, while the one in the whiskey curled up and died.
“All right, son”, asked the father, “what does that show you?”
“Dad, it shows that if you drink alcohol, you will not have worms.”
아버지가 젊은 아들에게 술의 해악을 가르쳐주기 위해 벌레 한 마리를 물이 담긴 잔에다 넣고, 다른 한 마리는 위스키가 담긴 잔에 넣었다. 물속의 벌레는 살았지만, 위스키에 넣은 벌레는 꼬부라져 죽어버렸다.
아버지가 물었다. “자 봐라, 뭘 알 수 있겠니?”
“술을 마시면 뱃속의 벌레가 없어진다는 걸 알았습니다.”
