A little boy wanted $100 badly, so he decided to write God a letter. When the postal authorities received the letter, they decided to send it to President Bush.
The President was so impressed that he instructed his secretary to send the boy a $5.00 bill. He thought this would be a lot of money to a boy.
The boy was delighted with the $5.00 and wrote a thank you note to God, which read: Thank you very much for sending the money, however, I noticed that you sent it through Washington D.C. and, as usual, those crooks deducted $95.00.
한 꼬마가 100달러가 필요해 하나님에게 편지를 쓰기로 했다. 우체국 직원들은 이 편지를 받고서는 이것을 부시 대통령에게 보내기로 했다.
부시는 이에 감명을 받아 비서를 통해 꼬마에게 5달러 지폐를 보내라고 시켰다. 그는 그 정도면 꼬마에겐 아주 큰돈 일 거라고 생각했다.
꼬마는 5달러를 받고 기뻐서 하나님에게 다음과 같은 내용의 감사 편지를 썼다.
'저에게 돈을 보내주셔서 너무나 감사합니다. 그러나 하나님께서 워싱턴(정부)을 통해 돈을 보내시는 바람에 그 도둑놈들이 95달러나 공제했습니다.'
