No matter which girl he brought home, the bachelor found disapproval from his mother.
A friend gave him advice. “Find a girl just like mother, then she’s bound to like her.”
He told his friendly adviser. “Just like you said I found a girl who looked, talked, dressed, and even cooked like mother and just like you said mother liked her."
“So,” asked the friend, “What happened?”
“Nothing,” said the bachelor, “My father hates her!”
한 총각이 사귀는 여자마다 어머니가 번번이 딱지를 놓는 바람에 낙심이 컸다. 보다 못한 그의 친구가 충고하길, “네 어머니와 똑 같은 여자를 찾아봐. 틀림없이 좋아하실 거야.”
이에 그 총각의 심드렁한 대답. “네 말처럼 외모에서 말씨, 옷 입는 것, 심지어 요리하는 것까지 어머니와 꼭 닮은 여자를 찾아내긴 했지.”
친구가 “그래서, 어떻게 됐지?”라며 다급하게 물었다.
총각 왈,“말짱 꽝이었어. 이번엔 아버지가 그녀를 지독하게 싫어하시는거야.”
