Three men-a doctor, an architect and a politician-were arguing about whose profession was the oldest. The doctor said his was the oldest since God created Eve out of Adam’s rib and in fact performed surgical operation. The architect said, “My profession is the oldest since God, just like any architect, in creating the world, made it out of chaos.” “And who,” asked the politician, “made that chaotic mess in the first place?”
의사와 건축가와 정치인이 각각 자기 직업이 가장 오래 된 직업이라고 우겨댔다. 먼저 의사는 하나님이 아담의 갈비뼈로 이브를 만들어낸 것이 바로 외과수술이라면서 의사야말로 가장 오래 된 직업이라고 말했다. 이에 건축가도 하나님이 건축가와 같이 혼돈상태에서 세상을 창조한 것이라면서 건축가가 가장 오래됐다고 했다. 그러자 정치인이 반문했다. “그럼 당신들은 애당초 세상을 혼돈 속에 빠트린 사람이 누구라고 생각하세요?”
