A family brings their elderly mother to a nursing home and leaves her. The next morning, the nurses feed her a tasty breakfast, and her in a chair at a window overlooking a lovely flower garden.
She seems OK, but after a while she slowly starts to lean over sideways in her chair. Two nurses immediately rush up to catch her and straighten her up. After a while she starts to tilt to the other side. The nurses rush back and once more bring her back upright. This goes on all morning. Later the family arrives to see the old woman and asks, "So, how is it here? Are they treating you all right?" they ask.
"It's pretty nice," she replies. "Except they won't let you fart."
어느 가족이 노모를 요양원으로 모셔놓고 떠났다. 다음날 아침, 간호사들은 그녀에게 맛있는 아침을 먹여 주고, 아름다운 꽃밭이 보이는 창가 의자에 앉혀 주었다.
그녀는 한동안 괜찮아 보이더니, 이내 의자 옆쪽으로 몸이 기울어지기 시작했다. 간호사 두 명이 곧바로 달려와 그녀를 잡고 똑바로 앉혀 주었다. 얼마 뒤 이번에는 반대 쪽으로 몸이 기울어지기 시작했다. 간호사들은 또 달려와서 몸을 똑바로 세워 주었다. 이런 일이 아침 내내 이어졌다. 나중에 노모를 만나러 온 가족들이 물었다. "여기 어떠세요? 사람들이 잘 해줘요?"
"아주 좋아," 그녀가 답했다. "그런데 이 사람들이 방귀를 못 뀌게 하네."
