A drunk bet the barman that he could tell the ingredients in any drink.
The barman stooped behind the bar and emptied into one glass several drinks- a Martini, a Scotch and soda, a rum punch, etc. The drunk sipped the drink, and correctly named the contents. This time the barman filled the glass with water. The drunk then said: "I don't know what it is, but it won't sell!"

바텐더는 바 뒤쪽으로 엎드리더니 술 몇 가지를 한 글라스에 따랐다. 그 속에는 마티니, 스카치 앤드 소다, 럽 펀치 등이 들어갔다. 그 술을 홀짝거리던 주정뱅이는 정확하게 내용물을 말했다. 바텐더가 이번에는 맹물을 내놓았다. 그러자 주정뱅이가 말했다.
"뭔지 알 수 없지만 이래 가지고는 안 팔리겠는데요."
