A Baptist missionary was walking in Africa when he heard the ominous padding of a lion behind him. "Oh Lord," prayed the missionary, "Grant in Thy goodness that the lion behind me is a good Christian lion." And then, the missionary heard the lion praying too. "Oh Lord, we thank Thee for the food which we are about to receive."
한 침례교 선교사가 아프리카에서 산책을 하다가 뒤에서 사자의 불길한 발자국 소리를 들었다.
"오 주여," 그 선교사가 기도했다. "주의 자비로써 제 뒤에서 걷고 있는 사자가 제발 착한 크리스천 사자이도록 해주소서." 그리고 나서 선교사는 사자 역시 기도하는 소리를 들었다. "오 주여, 이제 곧 저희가 받으려는 음식에 감사드립니다."
