Due to the clouds and haze, the pilot of a helicopter flying around above Seattle could not determine his position. Seeing a tall building, he flew toward it and held up a handwritten sign: "WHERE AM I?" People in the building drew a large sign and held it in a building window: "YOU ARE IN A HELICOPTER." The pilot smiled, looked at his map and landed safely at the airport.
Once on the ground, the copilot asked the pilot how he had done it. "I knew it had to be the Microsoft Building, because they gave me a technically correct but completely useless answer."

빌딩 사람들도 큼지막한 글씨를 빌딩 창문에 댔다. "당신은 헬리콥터 안에 있습니다." 그것을 본 조종사는 빙긋 웃으면서 지도를 들여다보고 공항에 안전하게 착륙했다.
헬리콥터를 내리면서 부조종사가 항로파악이 어떻게 가능했냐고 물었다. "거기가 틀림없이 마이크로소프트(MS)라는 생각이 들더군. 그들 대답은 기술적으론 정확하지만 실제로는 전혀 쓸모없는 것이니까."
