An old man had died. A wonderful funeral was in progress and the town's preacher talked at length of the good traits of the deceased, what an honest man he was, and what a loving husband and kind father he was. Finally, the widow leaned over and whispered to one of her children, "Go up there and take a look in the coffin and see if that's your pa." 한 노인이 죽었다. 근사한 장례식이 진행됐고 마을의 목사는 그가 얼마나 정직한 사람이었는지, 얼마나 사랑스러운 남편이었고 자상한 아버지였는지 등 고인의 훌륭한 성품에 대해 장황하게 이야기를 했다. 그 말을 듣다 못한 미망인이 자녀들 쪽으로 몸을 기울이며 그 중 한 아이에게 속삭였다. "올라가서 관 안을 좀 살펴보고 네 아버지가 맞는지 확인해 보고 오렴."
