A man was telling his friend the secret of his contented married life.
"My wife makes all the small decisions, and I make all the big one. In that way, we never interfere in each other's business and we have no arguments."
"That sounds reasonable," answered his friend, "and what sort of decisions does your wife make?"
"She decides what jobs I apply for, what sort of house we live in, and things like that."
His friend was surprised. "And what do you consider important decisions then?"
"Well, I decide who should be the President, what we should do for the world peace, and things like that."
한 남자가 친구에게 만족스러운 결혼생활의 비결을 말해주고 있었다.
"아내가 모든 사소한 일들을 결정하고 나는 큰 일을 결정하지. 그러면 서로의 일에 간섭할 필요도 없고 말다툼할 일도 없어."
"그거 말 되네." 친구가 말했다. "부인은 어떤 일들을 결정하지?"
"내가 어떤 직장을 구하고 우리가 어떤 집에 살지, 그런 것들이야."
친구가 놀라 물었다. "그럼 네가 정하는 중요한 일들은 뭔데?"
"음. 누가 대통령이 돼야 하고 세계평화를 위해 할 일은 뭔가, 그런 일들은 내가 정해."
