A father was trying to teach his young son the evils of alcohol. He put one worm in a glass of water and another worm in a glass of whiskey. The worm in the water lived, while the one in the whiskey curled up and died. "All right, son," asked the father, "what does that show you?" "Dad, it shows that if you drink alcohol, you will not have worms." 아버지가 아들에게 술의 해악을 가르쳐주기 위해 벌레 한 마리를 물잔 속에 넣고 다른 벌레 한 마리를 위스키 술잔 속에 넣었다. 얼마 후 물 속의 벌레는 살았지만 위스키 속 벌레는 몸을 비틀다가 마침내 죽어버렸다. 아버지는 아들에게 물었다. "얘야, 이게 무슨 의미인지 알겠니?" "술을 마시면 배 속의 벌레가 다 없어진다는 거죠."
