A patron at a restaurant was continually bothering the waiter about the air conditioning: first he would ask for the air conditioning to be turned up because it was too hot, then he would ask it be turned down because it was to cold, this went on for about a half an hour. To the surprise of the rest of the customers, the waiter was very patient, walking back and forth and very pleasant. So finally a customer asked; why don't you just throw out the pest? "Oh, I don't care," said the waiter with a grin, we don't even have an air conditioner." 식당에서 한 손님이 에어컨 문제로 계속 웨이터를 귀찮게 했다. 너무 덥다며 에어컨 온도를 낮춰달라고 하더니, 다음엔 너무 춥다며 온도를 높여달라고 했다. 이 같은 요구는 한 시간 반 가까이 반복됐다. 손님들이 보기에 놀랍게도 웨이터는 왔다갔다 하면서도 전혀 짜증을 내지 않았다. 결국 한 손님이 물어봤다. "왜 성가신 손님을 쫓아내 버리지 않는 건가요?" 그러자 웨이터가 씩 웃으며 대답했다. "전혀 신경쓰고 있지 않습니다. 왜냐면 이 식당엔 에어컨이 없거든요."
