A friend asked me the other day why i never got married.
I replied, "Well, I guess I just never met the right woman…. I guess I've been looking for the perfect girl."
"Oh, come on now," said my friend. "Surely you have met at least on girl that you wanted to marry."
"Yes, there was one girl…once. I guess she was the one. I really mean that she was the perfect girl for me"
"Well, why didn't you marry her?" asked my friend.
I shrugged my shoulders and replied, "She was looking for the perfect man."
어느 날 친구가 내게 왜 결혼을 하지 않느냐고 물었다.
"글쎄, 단지 내 짝을 못 만났을 뿐이야. 나는 완벽한 여자를 찾고 있거든."
"오, 말도 안 돼." 친구가 말했다. "지금까지 결혼하고 싶은 여자를 적어도 한 명은 틀림없이 만났을 거야."
"맞아, 그런 여자가 한 명 있었지. 그녀가 내 짝이었던 것 같아. 나에게는 정말 완벽한 여자였거든."
"그런데 왜 그녀와 결혼하지 않았지?" 친구가 물었다.
나는 어깨를 으쓱하며 대답했다. "그녀도 완벽한 남자를 찾고 있었어."
