A man, his wife and his mother-in-law went on vacation to the Holy Land. While they were there, the mother-in-law passed away. The undertaker told them, “You can have her shipped home for 5,000 dollars or you can bury her here in the Holy Land for 150 dollars.” The man thought about it and told him he would just have her shipped home. The undertaker asked, “Why would you spend 5,000 dollars to ship her home, when you could have her buried here for only 150 dollars?” The man replied, “A man died here 2,000 years ago, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead. I just can’t take that chance.” 한 남자가 휴가를 즐기려 아내와 장모와 함께 성지 예루살렘에 갔다. 그런데 거기서 장모가 죽었다. 장의사는 “5,000달러를 내시면 고향집으로 보내드릴 수 있고 150달러면 이곳 성지에 묻어드릴 수 있습니다”라고 했다. 잠시 생각하던 사내는 집으로 보내달라고 했다. 그러자 장의사가 물었다. “단돈 150달러면 여기서 매장할 수 있는데 5,000달러씩이나 들여 일부러 집으로 데려 가는 이유가 뭡니까?” 그 남자의 대답은 이러했다. “2,000년 전에 여기서 어떤 사람이 죽어 매장을 했더니 사흘 만에 다시 살아나지 않았습니까. 그런 모험은 할 수 없습니다.”
