In a British train compartment a gentleman removed a cigar from his pocket.
"Excuse me, madam" he said addressing himself to an old lady.
"May I smoke?"
"Do exactly" said the lady "What you would do at home."
"All right" sighed the gentleman and sadly put the cigar into his breast pocket.
영국 기차의 한 칸막이 객실에서 신사가 주머니에서 시가를 꺼낸 뒤 건너편에 앉은 노부인에게 물었다. "부인, 실례합니다. 담배를 한대 피워도 될까요?"
노부인이 말했다. "집에서 하던 그대로 (편하게) 하세요"
"알겠습니다" 신사가 한숨을 쉬더니 슬픈 표정으로 앞 주머니에 시가를 도로 집어 넣었다.
