Smith goes to see his supervisor in the front office.
"Boss," he says, "we're doing some heavy house-cleaning at home tomorrow, and my wife needs me to help with the attic and the garage, moving and hauling stuff."
"We're short-handed, Smith," the boss replies. "I can't give you the day off." "Thanks, boss," says Smith, "I knew I could count on you."

“부장님.” 그가 말했다. “내일 저희 집 대청소를 할 계획인데 아내가 다락방과 차고에 있는 무거운 짐을 옮기는 데 힘이 부친다며 제가 도와주기를 바라고 있습니다.”
"우리도 일손이 부족하다네, 스미스.” 상사가 답했다. “(애석하게도) 자네에게 휴가를 줄 수 없네.”
“고맙습니다, 부장님.” 스미스가 말했다. “역시 그렇게 말씀하실 줄 알았어요."
