A man is driving down a country road, when he spots a farmer standing in the middle of a huge field of grass. He pulls the car over and notices that the farmer is just standing there, doing nothing, looking at nothing. The man gets out of the car, walks all the way out to the farmer and asks him, "Excuse me, mister, but what are you doing?" The farmer replies, "I'm trying to win a Nobel Prize." "How?" asks the man, puzzled. "Well, I heard they give the Nobel Prize… to people who are outstanding in their field." 한 남자가 차를 몰고 시골길을 달리다가 농부 한 명이 드넓은 풀밭 한가운데에 서 있는 모습을 발견했다. 남자가 차를 세우고 보니 농부는 아무 것도 하지 않고, 허공을 응시하며 그냥 서 있기만 할 뿐이었다. 남자는 차에서 내려 농부에게 다가가 물었다. "실례합니다만, 뭐 하세요?" "노벨상을 타려고 하는 중인데요," 농부가 답했다. "어떻게요?" 남자는 의아해하며 물었다. "제가 듣기로는 노벨상을…자기 영역에서 우뚝 선 인물에게 준다고 하던데요."
