Little Billy finds an earthworm trying to get back into its little hole in the yard. He says, "Grandpa, I bet I can put that worm back in that hole." The grandfather replies, "I'll bet you five dollars you can't. It's really limp." Billy comes back out with a can of hairspray. He sprays the worm until it is straight and stiff. The grandfather hands him five dollars, grabs the hairspray, and runs into the house. Thirty minutes later, the grandfather gives the boy another five dollars. Billy says, "you already gave me five dollars."The grandfather replies, "I know. That's from your grandma." 꼬마 빌리가 마당에서 흙 속으로 들어가려고 애쓰는 지렁이를 발견했다. 빌리는 "할아버지, 나 이 지렁이를 구멍 안에 다시 넣을 수 있어요"라고 말했다. 할아버지는 "네가 못한다는 데 5달러 걸지, 너무 흐물거리잖니"라고 답했다. 소년은 헤어스프레이를 들고 나와 벌레가 딱딱하게 굳을 때까지 뿌렸다. 할아버지는 5달러를 건넨 뒤 스프레이를 들고 집으로 뛰어들어갔다. 30분 뒤 할아버지는 빌리에게 또 다시 5달러를 줬다. 빌리는 "아까 주셨는데요"라고 말했다. 할아버지가 답하길, "알아. 이건 네 할머니가 주는 거야."
