When his four-year old daughter expressed difficulty in grasping the concept of marriage, the father decided to pull out his wedding photo album, thinking visual images would help.
One page after another, he pointed out the bride arriving at the church, the entrance, the wedding ceremony, the recessional, the reception, etc.
“Now do you understand?” he asked. “I think so,” she said, “Is that when mommy came to work for us?”
네 살 된 딸이 결혼의 개념을 잘 이해하지 못하자 아빠는 뭔가 시각적인 것을 보여주면 도움이 되지 않을까 싶어서 결혼 앨범을 꺼내 보여주기로 했다. 아빠는 앨범을 한 장씩 넘겨가면서 신부가 교회에 도착하는 장면, 신부입장, 결혼식, 퇴장, 피로연 장면 등을 보여줬다.
“이제 알겠니?”하고 아빠는 물었다. 그러자 딸이 답하길, “알 것 같아. 그러니까 엄마는 저런 식으로 해서 우리집에 일하러 온 거 란 말이지?”
