A young boy was at the corner grocery picking out a pretty good size box of laundry detergent. The grocer walked over, asked the boy if he had a lot of laundry to do. "Oh, no laundry," the boy said, "I'm going to wash my dog.""But you shouldn't use this to wash your dog. If you wash your dog in this, he'll get sick." But the boy was not to be stopped and paid for it.
About a week later the boy was back in the store. The grocer asked the boy how his dog was doing. "Oh, he was in the hospital," the boy said. The grocer said "I tried to tell you not to use that detergent on your dog." "Well, I don't think it was the detergent that hurt him," the boy replied."I think it was the spin cycle!"
어린 소년이 잡화점에 와서 제법 큰 용기에 든 세탁 세제를 집어 들었다. 가게 주인이 다가가 소년에게 빨랫감이 많은지 물었다. "아니요, 빨래 안 해요." 소년이 답했다. "우리 집 개를 씻겨 주려고요." "이걸로 강아지를 씻기면 안 된단다. 이 세제로 목욕을 시키면 강아지가 아플 거야." 하지만 만류에도 불구하고 소년은 세제를 구입했다. 일주일 정도 후에 소년이 다시 가게로 왔다. 주인은 강아지가 잘 지내는지 물었다. "아, 지금 병원에 있어요" 소년이 답했다. 가게 주인은 "내가 그 세제를 강아지한테 쓰면 안 된다고 말했잖니"라고 말했다. 그러자 소년이 답했다. "음. 제 생각엔 세제 때문에 아픈 게 아닌 거 같아요. 세탁기 회전이 너무 빨랐던 것 같아요."
