무자식이 상팔자
After an overnight flight to meet her husband at his latest military assignment，an American woman wearily arrived at an air base in Germany with nine childrenall under age 11. Collecting their many suitcases，the ten travelers entered the customs area. A young customs official said，"do all these children and this luggage belong to you？"
"Yes， sir，" she said with a sigh，"they're all mine."
The customs agent began his interrogation:"Ma'am，do you have any weapons，contraband or illegal drugs in your possession？"
"Sir，" she calmly answered，"if I'd had any of those items，I would have been happy about that"
해외 복무중인 남편을 만나기 위해 한 미국인 여자는 11살 이하 아이 9명을 거느리고 밤새 비행한 끝에 지친 상태로 독일 공군기지에 도착했다. 여러 개의 가방을 손에 든 10명의 일행이 세관 구역에 들어섰다. 젊은 세관 직원은 “이 아이들과 짐들이 모두 당신 건가요?”라고 물었다.
“네, 모두 제 것입니다.”여자는 한숨을 내쉬며 말했다.
세관원은 질문을 시작했다: “부인, 혹시 무기나 밀수품, 불법마약 같은 것을 소지한 건 아닌가요?”
여자가 조용히 답했다. “그런 물품들이라면 차라리 좋겠네요.”
