A passenger in a taxi tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him something. The driver screamed, lost control of the cab, nearly hit a bus and stopped just inches from a large plate glass window. For a few moments everything was silent in the cab, then the driver said, "Please, don't ever do that again. You scared the daylights out of me. I thought you're ghost." The passenger, who was also frightened, apologized and said "He didn't realize that a tap on the shoulder could frighten him so much" To which the driver replied, "Today is my first day driving a cab and I have been driving a hearse for the last 25 years." 택시 승객이 운전사에게 물어볼게 있어서 어깨를 가볍게 쳤다. 이에 택시 운전사는 큰 소리를 지르며 운전대를 놓쳐 버스를 거의 칠 뻔 하더니, 대형 유리창문을 두고 몇 인치 앞에 간신히 섰다. 택시 안에서 잠시 동안 침묵이 흐르더니 운전사가 말했다. "다시는 그런 짓 하지 마세요. 이 대낮에 나를 놀라게 했잖아요. 난 당신이 귀신인 줄 알았어요."승객도 놀라면서 "어깨를 살짝 친 게 당신을 그렇게 놀라게 했는지 몰랐네요"라며 사과했다. 이에 운전사가 대답했다. "사실 오늘은 제가 택시운전을 시작한 첫날이에요. 나는 지난 25년간 영구차만 운전했거든요."
