It was the last day of our vacation, and my husband informed me that he was going to get in a final game of golf. He asked me to delay doing the laundry until after his game so that I could wash his dirty golf clothes. As the day wore on, I became more amd more impatient, visualizing an evening of drudgery. By the time he walked through the door, relatives had already gathered to enjoy the final hours with us. And they were shocked speechless when my first words to my husband were, "get your clothes off! I've been waiting all day."
휴가 마지막 날에 남편은 골프 마무리 게임에 나간다고 했다. 그러면서 더럽혀진 골프 복을 빨아야 하니 빨래하는 일은 자기가 돌아오고 나서 해달라는 것이었다. 고된 일로 저녁시간을 보내야 할 것을 생각하니 나는 시간이 흐를수록 점점 울화가 치밀었다.
마침내 남편이 돌아왔다. 그때는 친척들 모두가 우리와 함께 휴가의 마지막 시간을 즐기려고 와서 기다리고 있었다.
그들은 내가 남편에게 내뱉은 첫마디에 놀랐을 것이다. "옷 벗어요. 하루종일 기다렸단 말이에요!"
